Little Beasts Dwell in the Sound
︎A three-act poetic play started from sound.
This is a poetry collection that inspired by various sounds.
Unlike common poetry books—where each poem stands alone and parallel to the others—Little Beasts Dwell in the Sounds carries an implicit narrative that weaves through its verses. As I read these poems written by XiangMei Long, I quickly realized that I should let the images become part of the narriation, rather than being decorations, allowing them to bring out the hidden narrative in between poems. When you read this book, you may find that it unfolds like a three-act play composed of both visuals and words. With each turn of the page, one act fade down, and another begins.
